Quan Âm Statue @ Chan Nguyen Meditation Center

   Adelanto, CA

 

A 24-foot tall, 80-ton marble tribute to the Buddhist goddess Quan Am is located at the entrance of a proposed Chan Nguyen Meditation Center in Adelanto, California. The statue was placed on a 10-foot pedestal with reinforced concrete mat foundation, covered with black marble. The proposed meditation center will consist of main hall, meditation hall, abbot's quarter, multi-use room, classrooms, dinning hall and kitchen, living quarters, and seclusion practice chambers, in an approximately 10 acres site.

 

LandMark Consultants, Inc. is the geotechnical of record for this project. We are providing geotechnical investigation report and materials testing during construction for the statue in 2007.
