The project
occupies approximately 1 acre of land and required the installation
of 1,700 solar panels and associated electrical equipment. It is the
largest solar power system in San Diego County and the largest solar
driven pump system in the world.

The project
required the installation of a 267 KW photovoltaic ground-mounted
array to provide power to a variable frequency drive capable of
running a 200-horsepower irrigation water pump.
